Every time I board a plane, particularly when the jet engine fully activates just as I'm about to enter the runway and the plane speeds off at liftoff, I experience an unexplainable sensation. Why? 

I'm afraid I don't even know myself! 

Tens of seconds later, I looked out the window and saw houses, roads, mountains, and rivers on land gradually getting smaller and smaller, then entering the clouds. 

I turned my head and looked back at the cabin. That feeling disappeared again!
